My Story
Winnie Okafor is a Licensed SUD therapist, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC); Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ICADC), certified Transformational Life & Mental Health Coach; and credentialed Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) .
She also holds a Graduate Certificate degree in Christian Counseling: Coaching and Mentorship from Christ Restoration University, Laurel, MD (April 2022). Presently, a final year graduate student, Master of Science (M.S) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) with Concentration in Trauma and Crisis at Walden University, Minneapolis MN (2023). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2003) from West Virginia University, Morgantown WV.
Winnie has over 17 years work experience in Mental & Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse Treatment (Inpatient and Outpatient as well as Community-Based Services); has worked with a diverse range of clients from all socioeconomic status, and cultural backgrounds. Her career transcends as a business owner with over 25 years of experience in managerial and executive management positions with various organizations. She also has a background in law enforcement as a former senior district officer of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
She is a mother, daughter, sister and advocate for social justice & equality. She enjoys spending time with her kiddo, in praise and worship, traveling, dancing, listening to music, reading, exploring new areas, "pamper me days" (self-care) and learning about other cultures.
She is a proud member of the Global Kingdom Partners (GKP) of Prophetic Prayer Hour (PPH). She is under the mentorship & spiritual guidance of Rev. Sam Oye (Lead Pastor PPH/ The Transforming Church TTC) & Pastor Mrs. Mary Oye (PPH/ The Transforming Church TTC) .

Her spiritual journey is very important to her as she is an adamant worshipper of God, through Jesus Christ.
She cherishes the importance of cultural competence and awareness and have worked with a diverse population of clients. She speaks five (5) languages and different dialects of two of the languages fluently .

As Vice President of Grace Services, a women-owned nonprofit organization, Chimmy April Okafor is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to overcome life's challenges through transformational coaching, Christian counseling, and virtual outpatient substance abuse treatment.
Chimmy is an honor student in High School, and plans on pursuing a degree in Business Administration. While excelling academically, she also serves as the marketing director for Grace Services, leveraging her expertise and talent to raise awareness and expand the organization's life-changing work.
Chimmy's passion for service and commitment to mental health advocacy were inspired by her mother, Winifred Okafor, the founder and CEO of Grace Services as well as her beloved God-father, Bishop Dr. George Agboson of Christ Restoration Ministries Int'l. Together, they are transforming lives and building a more compassionate, resilient community.
